I'm thinking we should take a short break just as we are with the blog carnival. Summer is a busy time for a lot of people, and on a personal, selfish note, I'm two challenges behind and would like to catch up! How about if we resume our bi-monthly challenges for Sept/Oct? Dawn

I never thought you could be so selfish :-o
Seriously, though, it's fine by me, especially while I'm more in destructing than creating mode.

Oh yea, very selfish - you've just never seen that side of me. I try to keep it hidden.

Works for me. While I love our challenges, I’m already working on something rather intensive.

Dawn, my world is crumbling into tiny little pieces now! Is it the quilts, Michelle? They definitely have priority!

Actually, it’s a new bead embroidery piece. Although I do have two quilts for grand babies in process with a Christmas deadline. One is for my grandson who will be 5 on Christmas. And the other is for my grand daughter who is due to arrive in the 29th of December. I’ll tell you, marrying a man with grown children is the best way to get grand babies. 😄

Awww, Cat. Just to prove that I'm not totally selfish, I will try to pick up some of the pieces for you. Congrats on your grandbabies, Michelle - both the one that is already here and the one that will soon be joining your family! Dawn

Ooh, don't tell me you have started on a purse, Michelle. I thought you meant the critter quilts for your grandbabies <3 Dawn, that's nice of you. Here, you can put them in this bucket.

Thanks, Dawn! We don’t know our 5 yr old grandson that well since they live in northern, California. But we enjoy the pics his mom sends us. And I’ve had a lot of fun with these quilts.
The purse adventure is in progress - sort of. My mom and I took a class on how to make a particularly complicated purse. There were two sessions and it really needed three, but I think I can figure it out from here on out. In any case, I now feel ready to tackle the purse pattern (much simpler) that I bought to try to make a purse for beading.
The current beading project is a necklace. I’ll post a pic later.

Lovely bucket, Cat. The pieces should fit in there nicely. How are your projects coming along, Michelle? Or, has the move slowed you down? It sure did me; I haven't made anything for months except for a ring a friend ordered. Dawn

Two days after the last post on here - not counting the really new one - der Dekan moved in and that has certainly slowed ME down. It's a good thing we didn't have a challenge.
