Here is my latest bead embroidered piece. The two stones are lapis. I learned how to make a ladder / square stitch bail. Now to make the necklace. I’m eager to do a beaded one, but I have a lot of bigger beads lying about so I’m going to see what I can do with them.

This piece is a stunner! Beautiful work! Are the two blue pieces, looking like petals on each side, beads too?
What you said about going to see what to do with the bigger beads is what I am trying to do with the stones I have been collecting for many years in my boxes. I started to make plans for each one of them. I will see what will I manage.

Oh, wow, Michelle! That is a stunner. That deep blue is so dramatic and I love it with the green. I can also see how your skills are improving with each piece you make and that your confidence is growing as you make these bigger and more complicated designs. It's always fun to follow the progress of people as they follow the path of their jewelry making journey and master new techniques. Dawn

It's absolutely fabulous, Michelle! Like Dawn said, that blue is so dramatic and really pops even more against the light green. Can't wait to see how you are going to finish it up. I would say you really have found your niche with bead embroidery and it went so fast I'm so looking forward to seeing more!

Thank you so much, everyone! I will admit to feeling rather proud of this piece. And eager to do more. You’re right Cat, I have found my niche! Dawn, you are all so helpful and encouraging. I wouldn’t have been able to learn this (and other things) without our little community here.
Irith the little side petals are a matte purple bead. And I can’t wait to see what you do with the bigger stones!
Diane, you’ll get there! Besides these lovely ladies here, I’ve been relying on YouTube to learn specific techniques.
