I'm just writing my blog posts, but need a nap now before editing all the pictures, so you'll get the first official good (there has been a bad night time one) picture of Barbie

She looks amazing, Cat! I love her outfit and it looks like you won the fight with the shoes. They fit perfectly!
Beautiful work!

Thank you, Gayle! I didn't like those pink Delicas much, they lost their silver lining too easily while working, so I wouldn't have wanted to use them in jewelry (they were intended for a different Barbie outfit that didn't work out because there also seem to be two batches of color which I now mixed up). I had two beads left in the end! I was very much inspired by pieces I knew back then. I just finished my blog post for the outfit and will write another one with details for the accessories, also showing Barbie's foot

This is so cool, Cat! I love her wire sunglasses in addition to her beaded ensemble!

Thank you, Michelle!
You bet that I'm proud of those sunglasses! The glasses are not perfect yet (glue and me, haha), but I'll keep working on that.

What did you use for the lenses?

Actually it was my sister's idea because I couldn't think of a dark foil to use that I also might have around because I hate waiting for supplies if I want to finish something - it's from a photo negative I just finished scheduling the second blog post for tomorrow, time to get off the computer. I'm not used to all that editing and writing anymore *lol*

Ooh! I was going to ask you what the lenses were made of, but Michelle beat me to it! What a great idea to use negatives!
Tbh, I didn't even see the sunglasses. How could I have missed them?!

OK...that is just incredible work, Cat! From the photo negative (brilliant idea) sunglasses to the hat to the dress to the shoes, she is just amazing. And, I have to ask if you gave her a haircut because her hair is just the perfect amount of attitude. My favorite has always been the green flapper Barbie, but this one is challenging Green Flapper for the #1 position! And, yes...you are extremely talented and so creative. Dawn

Thank you, Dawn! I'm really grateful to my sister for that idea. The only idea I had was to use the colorful foil squares from one of my board games, but I didn't really want to use any of them. Yes, I gave her a haircut. Originally she came with two pigtails and her plugs were very full at some spots, so her hair never stayed flat. I managed to get it even, but when I put the hat on, one strand always sticks out and looks a little shorter. Then I saw that it was the same on a lady I happened to see on TV and thought I could live with that.
