What a statement piece! Kudos to you for pulling that through! I only know the first three Star Wars movies (Episode IV to VI), so I can't say anything about that

Thanks everyone! I'm back with my Week 4 challenge. It didn't take quite so long, but equally frustrating. The jewellers worked with gold last week to make gold hoop earrings and a locket. I didn't quite dare to try working in gold yet, but I did have a go at making a locket. There's a reason why a locket is an advanced technique... I won't be attempting it again for a while! Here's my attempt. I won't show you the inside, because I have no idea how to clean it up, and please excuse the terrible solder joins. I got to a point where I just wanted to survive and not melt my piece! And yes, I raided the toy box, again! Sami x

What a fun idea, Sami! It looks really cool to me. I have been meaning to try a wire wrapped locket eventually, but never got around to it, maybe because I'm too easily distracted by other things. Well done!

Hello All, I've just realised it's been ages since I posted in this forum! Will catch up on threads soon! The kids were off school last week, and that put any "me" time to bed, really. Thought I'd share the cuff I was working on for my final All That Glitters challenge (I should be doing a 6th challenge, but going to leave it for a little bit, as I'm just embarking on a year-long learning project!). I've called this my Hawaiian honeymoon cuff, as it's based on the necklace my husband bought me during our honeymoon. But really, it should be called "perseverance"... I had a lot of trouble with soldering the bezels, and ended up removing them all and then trying, again. The stones are not set particularly well, but I'm so happy that I finished it! Hope everyone's been well!

Beautiful cuff! I love the way the smaller stones surround the oval one.

Beautiful! It’s a very pretty design. And copper is probably my favorite metal for its warm color.

Thank you, everyone! More practice needed on accuracy of sawing, and bezel making, but pleased it turned out relatively ok!

Oh Wow! How did I manage to miss all of this gorgeous eye candy? That bib necklace is amazing. No, actually stunning is a better word for that work of art! Love the lego necklace. And, the cuff - oh my! It's so very cool from the waves to the arrangement of the stones. When I look at the stones, I see a turtle which is very appropriate for Hawaii with their sea turtles. Beautiful work, Sami, be very proud of what you've accomplished! Dawn

Dawn, you have made me so happy by saying you see a sea turtle! That's exactly what it is. The design is based on a necklace my husband bought me on our honeymoon, which was a sea turtle charm under a hibiscus flower. Wow! You have an amazing eye! Here they are together! Also, I'd be grateful if anyone knows what the black stones are? I have no idea!

Could they be snowflake obsidian?
