How about this topic from the suggestion box for May/June? "Review a favorite (jewelry-related) book"
I think to make it a little easier, we could turn this into "Review a favorite (jewelry-related) book/tutorial/video"?
The due date is June 15th.

Very cool idea, Cat! I still haven’t forgotten the “Failed technique” post. Between Dan’s motorcycle accident and my own funk, I haven’t been posting much, but I will get it up next week.

No worries, Michelle. You know we can wait. I had to work hard on myself to get my own post done, so I absolutely get it, and you had more on your plate.

Just a little reminder (and no, mine isn't done, either).

I have totally lost my blogging mojo. I’m honestly not sure why. Going to take a blogging break and see if it returns. So for now my review of book is on hold on the blog. I might do it here though. I know that’s weird doing it here vs on the blog. But I feel like my fellow jewelry makers will appreciate it. 😄

Dawn, I don't think you have the time to blog at the moment, shall we just cancel it then for now? I am not that good at reviewing stuff, so I wouldn't mind to delete my own short draft. Michelle, I understand the problem. I'm even struggling with doing the Oldies collages although the most work is in the collage and not so much the short text. I used to blog a lot more, but have the feeling that by now I'm pretty much invisible, so I'm not really very motivated unless it's about something I care for like the doll projects. I'm also weird about not wanting to share personal opinions or things about my private life, so it's probably quite boring for most people, anyway

I just popped in here to remind myself what the topic was. It's funny, I am finally (since yesterday) feeling some sort of normalcy returning to my life now that we are finally done getting the house ready to sell and feeling ready to get back to some old routines. But, I'm also fine with with taking a short break. And...I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I really appreciate the time you take to make your Oldies posts and I have been very negligent in not commenting on them lately. For that, I apologize and I promise you, I will try to do better going forward. Even when a person loves blogging, it's still nice to get a little feedback in the form of comments and it's wrong of me to not take a few minutes to do that for you. Dawn

Returning to add that I'm going to use the time I had set aside to work on my blog post to leave comments on your Oldies posts! Dawn

Dawn, you do know, however, this wasn't to complain about you, do you? I have this invisible feeling not only with blogging, but also in my sales groups. Time for another existential crisis to come up, I reckon. I hope our revenue service will believe me when they see how my numbers for selling went down last year! Your comment on the Fog/Mist post made me laugh, by the way. Do you know that I claimed the Golden Gate Bridge was a hoax because on our very first visit to San Francisco we could only see the posts on both sides, but not the whole bridge? It was completely covered in fog!

Oh, I know you weren't talking about me, Cat. I'm just very aware of how much time and effort goes into blogging and since I appreciate comments when I blog, I figured you probably do too. Plus, I really enjoy reading your blog and I should let you know that by taking a few moments out of my very important, busy life to let you know that. I love your story about the Golden Gate Bridge. It's absolutely gorgeous on a clear day, but when it's shrouded in fog it has a mysterious beauty that makes it all the more special and intriguing. Dawn

I do, and I appreciated your comments very much! It was really beautiful, but I so wanted to see it in full on that first visit! I had to wait until the next year which was also when we crossed it

Where do you want the book review to go, Cat? Here or on our own blogs, if we have them? Admittedly, I haven't actually started one yet! But, I've just signed up to participate in a year long project on Facebook, making about 23 projects from the book "Let's Make Professional Jewelry" by Alan Revere. I've just completed my first project, which was a crocheted chain (extremely chuffed with it!) and in process of editing video for my YT channel and writing up a blog post. It wouldn't be a full review of the book, but certainly can review the project I just did, if you'd find it helpful! I love checking out your collages, by the way, but I also am not very good at commenting on stuff! Sorry!

Sami, we usually do the blog carnival posts on our own blogs and link to the other participants' posts. You are very welcome to do it on your blog and let us know when the post is live, so we can take a look. It sounds like a very interesting project. I'm too much of a free spirit to do something like that (which is actually just a nice way to describe my commitment problems with long running projects ), but I'd love to see what you do. Maybe it will even encourage me to finish my own post after all eventually, I have even been too lazy to delete it until now
