Interesting post. Authenticity is a word that is tossed around a lot, in a branding for business context.

Sojourner Truth was an amazing person. It was interesting to compare her to Queen Elizabeth. I have mixed emotions about that. But I do get the writer’s point.

I read the article. Two strong women. I think that to be an African-American slave and a woman required a lot of courage 200 years ago. She had no much choice but to be authentic and true to herself! I have a lot of respect for her. On the other hand Queen Elizabeth 1st definitely had a strong personality, but from childhood she grew up in an atsmosphere of treason and cruelty and I believe that luck was on her side too. Being authentic ? I don't know. Having a very strong character - definitely!
