So I decided to try creating my own design. I’ve got the basics done. Now the fun begins! The small cabs are resin.

Very nice work. I love the oval shape of the stone and the resin cabs.

You are off to a great start! The resin cabs go great with the bumblebee. Is that the cab that broke? I seem to see the crack, but only very small in the last picture, good save!

Yep, this is the one that broke. I’ve thought about trying to conceal the crack, but, it’s such a pretty stone, I am loathe to cover any of it. And it’s not as noticeable by the naked eye.

Great work, Michelle! Kudos to you for creating your own design; that's awesome! That is really pretty and I like seeing the progress photos. You're right about it being a beautiful stone; if you hadn't told us about it breaking, I would never have noticed the crack. As it is, I had to look really hard to see it. It's not bad at all; just looks like a fine line in the stone. Great save! Dawn
