I finally finished one side, yay! It cost me patience and a bit of blood and a lot of needles ...

Thank you, Irith! I'll try to make something for the Halloween challenge now and then go back to it.

Simply amazing and wonderful, Cat! I loved the first pair you did, but I can see that these are going to be much more detailed and expressive. Fantastic! Do you think you'll ever wear this pair, even if just for a short outing? They deserve to be seen. Dawn

Thank you, Dawn and Michelle! Dawn, "much more detailed and expressive" (thank you for that) means time consuming, so I'm not even going to think about that before they are finished I like to wear my jeans rather long, so I'm not sure how much you would see of them and if anybody would notice. Maybe it's just because at the moment I don't see myself going anywhere, though. Let's talk about that when they are done

Amazing, Cat! I'm blown away by your artistry!
You must wear them in public when the time is right!

Thank you so much, Gayle! Won't it be strange for people, though, if I keep holding my feet up to their faces?

I think you should find a place where you can sit down and put your feet up on another chair, ledge or something like that. Be all carefree, cross your legs at the ankles and casually open a book and begin to read like you aren't wearing the world's coolest pair of shoes... Dawn

Maybe if I get them finished next spring, I can do that Right now it would be too cold for that. Also we have to wear masks in the street as well from tomorrow, so I would not be too keen on doing that at the moment.

Cat, just so you know, I've been wearing masks everyday and everywhere for the last six months at least! The only place I can take them off is at home. I bought myself 7 handmade ones in different colors and wear them in turns LOL! That takes off some of the ichyness out of having to wear them. I wash each one daily. Now, wearing them also saves me the bother about wearing lipstick...

Irith, I've been telling people that wearing a mask makes people look younger because the mask hides all of the lines and wrinkles on the faces of us more mature ladies. Dawn

True words, Dawn and Irith! Masks can emphasize my crinkly eyes, but hide my wrinkly face. LOL!
