While doing things around the house the other day, I started thinking about chores that I really dislike doing. Of course, there is the obvious like cleaning the toilet, but the one I really dislike is emptying the dishwasher. I will put it off until dirty dishes are starting to stack up on the kitchen. One time, I timed how long it actually takes to empty the dishwasher and was surprised to learn that it only took five minutes. All that procrastinating over the years for five minutes of my time!
I still dislike unloading the dishwasher, but now that I know how little time it takes, I no longer put off doing it.
Irith, I've read more than once that a lot of paperwork left undone for a period of time, will no longer need to be done if we just ignore it. I've actually found that to be true. Of course, bills can't be ignored, but much of the paperwork that crosses our desks can be.
