Other than my Barbie outfits this one is not bead loomed. I used Herringbone, Peyote, netting and brick stitch. The Dawn doll is a little more than half the size of a regular Barbie doll, she was produced between 1970 and 1973. I don't know where this one came from, but it spent many years naked as I don't have any clothes that size. So I finally had to make her something. You know I usually resize pictures, but this way the details are easier to see

Absolutely stunning, Cat! You must have the best dressed Barbies on the planet.

Thank you, Gayle and Michelle! Michelle, you made me laugh. I have some very well dressed Barbies in original outfits which are much quicker to put on than beaded dresses but I have really enjoyed making this one with all its challenges. It makes me happy if people like it. Since I can't sew and have hated crocheted Barbie outfits even as a child, this is finally a way for me to make a doll truly mine if you know what I mean.

This Barbie looks glamorous! Most beautiful outfit I've seen on a Barbie doll lately!

She's simply gorgeous, Cat! Her outfit is stunning in its complexity and detail and her shoes are outstanding. You've outdone yourself on this one. You know, I kind of like having a barbie named after me! Dawn

Thank you, Dawn! Maybe I'll have to get another one eventually and give her an outfit with a little fascinator

Oooooooh...I would love that! One of your Barbies has a hat with a feather in it; I've always loved that one. Dawn

Both Flappers have part of a peacock feather that my sister luckily had in her carnival stash I wonder if I still have some of it left.

I didn't realize they both had one. I think I'm thinking of the one who has a feather that sticks straight up from the back of her head and I think she has a green dress if memory serves correctly. Dawn

I knew you meant Christie because she wears a hat while Barbie only wears a headband, both with several (parts of) feathers. Christie: Barbie:

Yes, yes, yes...I just love that hat! Between the feathers, the crochet flower and the green jewels, it is perfection! I love the headband too, but the hat, the hat! Dawn

You know I only made that hat because I had to hide Christie's hair ...
