About a week ago I made a new ring in which I wanted to set an Opal stone I have. Soon after making the ring I tried to set the stone, and to my dismay and surprise, saw that the surface had cracked. Don't ask me how. Perhaps the stone was too delicate? well I don't know. I decided not to give up on the ring. I searched my sea glass collection, and just like in Cinderella's story, it fit right in. So I set it and looked right up at the sky (my ceiling that is) and said "thank you God"! This is the ring: I hope you like it.

I'm very sorry about the opal, Irith, but the seaglass is perfect. The ring is another one of the "pools" I would love to jump into! So beautiful.

I’m sorry about the opal, but this ring is gorgeous! So glad you found the sea glass would work.

I love sea glass. The combination of the blue and silver is always a winner for me.

Like it? I love it! Cat's right; it does look as inviting as a pool of fresh, cool water. I am sorry about your opal though. Is there any chance of using it or parts of it in another piece? Dawn

Thank hyou very much ladies! I am glad I found a replacement for the poor Opal. Dawn, the part of the Opal which remained whole I will use for some other piece of jewelry. We'll see.
