I had this natural Brown Koroit Opal stone in my box for a few years. As it is mostly Brown (although it has a few beautiful patches of Blue Green gleams) I decided I would add some brightness to it. I set a round pink Chalcedony cabochon next to it, and I like the result. I hope you will like it too:)

Thank you Caroline. Some people like big rings. This one is flat and long.

It would be too big for me, but that's because I don't have fingers that are long enough for it. Big rings look so beautiful on the right fingers. The combination of the brown with blue-green and pink is simply stunning!

Thank you Cat. Just to let you know - I have short fingers and surprisingly large rings, this one in particular, somehow make my finger look longer. I have always claimed that when one has short fingers, a small ring would look OK on the hand but not more than that. On the other hand - a large ring will draw all the attention to the ring and the short fingers would be less noticeable. Of course - all rings look best on long fingers!

I think it's probably a matter of not only short fingers, but also if they are skinny or not, Irith, and how or where you wear them. It's the same with small rings or unusual shapes, by the way. I often see rings that I like for their look, but that I wouldn't choose for myself. I guess that goes for all jewelry or fashion

Of course. I agree! It is subjective. I referred to it from a general objective point of view.

It is absolutely beautiful! Besides the pretty stones - I’m very partial to the pink stones - I love the texture you put in the setting. I thinking adding the light pink chalcedony to the opal was absolutely what it needed. The contrast sets them both off.

Beautiful, Irith! The flashes of color in the brown stone are set off perfectly by the pink chalcedony. You make the most interesting and unique settings for your stones - I am never disappointed when looking at your work. I have a friend who always wears big, bold, beautiful jewelry - she would love that ring! Dawn
