I already did mine which makes me happy because I'm so not productive these days (I took up work on dinosaur bottle WIP again which is only black beads now, so I'm not highly motivated), but ProBoards had eaten the picture, so I put it back just now

Yea, I smile every time I see that little kitty on a bottle, Cat. And, Caroline gave us such lovely work too. Time for the rest of us to get with the program! Dawn

I have been working on mine the last couple of days. I am using a polymer clay cabochon. It’s a bit different than working with a stone. I hope I can beat it into submission. LOL!

HaHa! When working with wire, I always say that after realizing I couldn't force it to bend to my will, I let it show me where it wants to go, cuz it has a mind of it's own and is not easily tamed! Dawn

This cab was a bit more challenging than I expected. It is polymer clay, and very light. I had a hard time getting the wire tight enough to stay in place. I think the clay has just a little give. Hence the wire on the front. I’m not really pleased with how I attached it, so more may be added to it at some point. But I will not be doing that before the end of the year. So here it is:

If you hadn't said so, I wouldn't have known that the wire in front was born from the necessity to hold the cab. It's a beautiful cab and I love the bezel of "rays" surrounding it.

That is really pretty, Michelle. Like Cat, I would have thought that wire on the front was an intentional design element. That's a look you might want to play around with in the future. Love it! Dawn

My sunshine earrings are finished. I plan to photograph and post them tomorrow, so I guess it'll be y'alls Christmas present! I'm out of copper ear wires, so I made those too. The pendant I'm working on isn't finished as it's been too cold to use spray paint and now we are going out of town, so I've run out of time. Soooo, that project is going to have to wait until the weather warms up a bit. I'll still show it to you guys when it's done, but don't hold your breath cuz it's not going to be any time soon. Dawn

Thanks so much, Cat & Dawn! And you’re right, Dawn - maybe I should try adding the front wires as part of the design plan.

A little late, but here are my sunshine earrings. The beads have a golden background with green and blue accents which reminded me of the fresh green of spring and the clear blue sky. I included additional accents in the form of seed bead and copper wire dangles in the same colors and added yellow to represent the yellow rays of the sun. Attachment DeletedAnd, since I'm out of copper ear wires I made these using balled copper headpins that go back to the time that Cat and I learned to ball wire on our gas stoves! I like how these turned out and I might just stop buying ear wires and use this type of ear wire instead for future designs. Attachment DeletedDawn

So pretty, Dawn, I can totally see everything you said in these bead, and the earwires are perfect! Beautifully done.

These earrings are lovely! Great colors! I’m impressed with your ear wires. I have come to the point of doing my own jump rings, but haven’t tackled ear wires yet. Well done!

Thank you both! I've had those beads forever and never was inspired to do anything with them until this challenge. All of a sudden I saw sunshine in them! Michelle, ear wires aren't hard to make except for getting them both exactly the same. That's the tricky part. I'm thinking about making a jig for that purpose; I think that would really speed things up. Dawn
