A few weeks ago I mentioned in Cimmy's thread that I would share pics of quilts I saw at a county fair while on vacation and then I promptly forgot about it. A couple of days ago, I realized that I hadn't posted the photos so here they are.
These quilts take quilting art to a new level. The first two are by Pat Durbin who is amazing. Using photos (most taken by her husband) she creates these stunning quilts from tiny pieces of fabric she stitches together on her sewing machine.
I don't know the names of the artists who did these next two, but they are equally gorgeous:
As one who finds sewing a button on challenging, it's very difficult for me to wrap my head around what's involved in creating these gorgeous works of art For any of you interested in fabric/textile art, I highly recommend that you spend a few minutes checking out Pat's site to see more of her work.
