I went on a journal making workshop this past weekend and made a couple of journals. We used Cardboard, fabric, fabric hardener, clay, lace, paint and gilding wax. A wonderful sticky, messy, painty day with great friends and lots of laughter.

You shouldn't display things like this to a stationery addict with a huge journal collection! =D
They're so beautiful and unique. The first one exudes vibrancy and energy. The second one has more an element of mystery while being whimsical and magical. I also think of plain old day and night too when I look at them both.
Love them! The workshop sounds great. I'll have to look for something like that here. On the crafting bucket list now! Thanks for sharing Caroline!

OMGosh, Caroline! Those are gorgeous - I especially love the second one. I can imagine how much fun it must have been to get your hands in the messy, squishy, painty mess to create something so beautiful and useful. Dawn
