I am quite new to the art of jewelry making. As a newbie, I often struggle with making turns with metal in order to create some custom work. I was wondering if annealing fine silver or sterling silver makes it easier to saw. Can anyone provide some sage advice on this very basic question? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
No need to anneal metal before sawing. In order to saw metals in the right way, you draw a line on the metal and then hold the saw upright against the metal while moving it gently up and down along the line without using any pressure. I would recommend to look up U-Tube in order to watch exactly how it is done.
