The eternal question for every beader: is the pattern an excuse for buying new beads or is having a great combination of bead colors an excuse for buying a new pattern? I am confident with loom designing but now have a galaxy of designs on Etsy that I want to try. But I also find myself having fun just looking. (Artbeads keeps having sales but lately I have been able to resist buying. )

Both excuses are absolutely valid!
What I didn't do in a while, but really should get back to is making a pattern using the colors I already have. Not only is it a shame to have them lying around, it can also be a challenge.

I don't use patterns, but rarely need an excuse to buy pretty beads.

No excuse required. Just buy because they are pretty and you love them. x

Yup, I've never met a bead I didn't like. But I have so many they really should be used to make room for others...

I'm not a loomer, but going to join in with the crowd that says you never need an excuse to buy more beads! Like many of you, I'm trying to use up my stash, but I keep adding to it! Dawn
