So, I found this amazing gizmo on Amazon and I love it. It's a portable lightbox with an attached LED strip. It's great for photographing jewelry! Bright Box. Plus, it's only $22 USD!

Lovely jewelry, Gayle! How bright are the LEDs? Did you take the pictures with your phone or a camera?

Thanks, Cat!
I use my phone, an iPhone 6. The LEDs are pretty bright, although I did "tweak" the finished photos a little to lighten them up. There's a strip that's .5 inches X 8 inches with lights and it runs across the top of the box, at the edge.
I see I could have lightened the second and third photos a little. It's going to take a bit of practice!

It always takes practice. I never mastered it, but I got good at editing out cat hair and dust ;-)
Does it come with a white background? It always gives me trouble with that bluish tint, even with white balance in my camera. That is one, but not the only reason why I use a black background. I don't know if there is a white balance on phones.

It comes with a white background and a black one. I played with exposure on my photo app and I got it a little lighter. Things seem to show up darker online, especially here for some reason. Cat, I don't know if there's white balance on the phone. I know that with the mentioned photo apps, the exposure and contrast, etc. can be adjusted. Attachments:

I have one that folds up and has the LED lights in it too. I like it.

That's awesome, Gayle! Going to check that out; thanks for the tip! The white background is hard to master. I see very few people who are successful at achieving pure, bright white. It's usually either a bluish tint, gray or even a little bit in the bown tones. Mine tend to run to blue or gray. But, I've come to feel that the bright white background isn't nearly as important as photos that are in focus, sharp, brightly lit and that clearly show all of the important details. Yours are all of those things. I think they look great and so does your jewelry. Your light box looks like a great tool to help in getting those desired results. Might just get me one of those! Dawn
