Also, Cat, I saw what you did over at Show and Tell with the blue challenge. Thank you and you are awesome! There is a memory stick waiting for me over at the post office that will allow me tp access to all of my photos whether I'm using the laptop or the tablet. I also figured out how to get photos from my camera to the tablet last night and how to copy/paste on the tablet as well! Dawn

Sure, so awesome *lol* You are most welcome. That gives me every right to annoy you some more, doesn't it? I found some silver wire scraps from my very beginnings when I messed up a lot and didn't quite know yet what to do with them. I still don't know what I'll do with these, but it's one step further in experimenting.

Annoy me? You, Cat? No way! Just keep showing us the cool things that result from your experiments and everyone will be happy! Dawn

What I'd really like is a way to melt my other scraps down. I don't think I have enough to send it in, but it annoys me having it lying around. I'm also thinking about ripping up some older silver pieces of mine. I wish we had a workshop or something around with someone who could teach me

Oh, there's stuff out there, but what I have looked at so far is rather turning me off the idea to try it by myself I might burn down the place after all.

No you won't; you've got this down now. Start small and see what happens. I'm confident that you'll take the proper safety precautions and I'm confident in your abilities. If you don't want to do it on your own get your pal involved so that you have some company when you try it. Dawn

I finally beat the bronze wire! No more curling up, no more golf clubs. Took me long enough, too. Here's the blog post about it catswire.blogspot.de/2017/07/random-saturday-taming-bronze.htmlI didn't think of taking pictures because it was hard enough to concentrate on getting it right, only one of the result. Now I either need to find the messed up ones that I kept just to take a picture or I'll have to mess some up to show the difference.

Thank you, Dawn! It really was a circle of obsession, stubbornness and frustration. I'm glad you like them! If I can't get the thinner gauge bronze wire to cooperate in wrapping, I might just make earwires from the thicker one or maybe combine it with thinner wire in other colors.
