I loved the silverware jewelry at the Raleigh flea market so I had to make some. I get inspiration from what I see a lot and then try to figure it out. So I found some silver plated flatware and bought it. My boyfriend Jerry did the cutting and hole drilling. Then I used a grinder attachment on my dremel to do smoothing and rounding. Just finished a few minutes ago. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedAttachment Deleted

I also go to thrift stores to look for silverware in this style, up until now I only found teaspoons. These are very nice and decorative.

Wow, Claudia! You did a great job on those. I'm especially loving the first one - that's such a pretty pattern and I really like the added pink bead. It puts a nice finishing touch on the bracelet. I haven't seen earrings made out of silverware that I can recall. Another creative way to re-purpose something that needs a new life! Dawn

Thank you Carina. I found some of the flatware at the same flea market at $2 a piece. Some I got at a local thrift store. Try a private thrift store.

Thank you Dawn. That second picture shows the magnet clasp on the back. I added a picture to the original post. Across the top is what we used for this. You can see better how the bottom of the forks were the bracelet and the narrower part towards the top is the earrings.

Ah yes, that extra photo really helps me visualize your process. Looks like you have some other silverware waiting to be made into pretty and unique jewelry! Dawn

Definitely going to make more. It's fun. I want to be able to afford to go to the other flea market down in Smithfield. We saw a boxed set of pretty flatware I'd love to get. Jerry and I are making a great team in all ways! He even made me a ring out of a couple of fork tongs today.

Well done! I repaired a flatware bracelet for a customer once and tried it on when I was finished. I loved the look!
You've really done a beautiful job of repurposing that silverware!

You did a wonderful job with these, Claudia. A great team indeed! I remember the time when you got silver plated flatware rather cheaply here at fleamarkets because people didn't want to clean it. My sister kept stocking up on the old flatware she got from my Mom (we use it every weekend at family dinner), so we dug through lots of stuff!

You did quite well indeed, I won't say great first try, as it would not give your or this piece any real justice, this would be great for the 100th or 1000th try. I'll just say I hope you make more ☺
