Thank you, Carole and Michele! Michele, I have a bunch of mini paintings in varying degrees of completion that I'll share as I get them done. Using resin has really helped speed up the finishing process enabling me to increase my production. I'm glad to be painting again too - life finally got back to normal (or, at least the new normal) and my outlook is much improved from what it was a few years ago. Dawn

I just LOVE the pendant, the rose quarts and the brass chain makes it complete.
Did I already say that I LOVE it

Carina, came back to add that I've started using antiqued brass or bronze chain as an alternative to gold chain which is so expensive. I don't want to use gold plate as many times the plating rubs off after a short time. At least it does with what's available here. From what I've read the quality of plated chain and/or wire in the EU is much better than what we have in the US. I also like the color of the brass and bronze better than gold. This was never an issue before as I nearly always worked with copper, but many of these vintage components that I'm using as bezels are brass or bronze and copper just doesn't match very well. Dawn

I too prefer the bronze and brass over gold, it give it a more "lived" appearance.

Dawn, thanks! It is good to be back, sort of. Been super busy just cleaning and weeding and it will be a few days before I'll be able to even set foot in my studio. We had so many cool adventures on our trip, it will take some time to process it all. I took a gazillion pics, as did my brother, who had the time of his life in beautiful Nova Scotia, so I'll be posting some of them here and probably my blog as well. Can't wait to hear/read all the exciting things everyone else did here on the forum! Karin

That's a good way to put it, Carina. Both metals have kind of a glow that comes from within kind of like a living thing. Looking forward to seeing your photos, Karin! Dawn
