I get really bored with making jewellery sometimes and like to try different things. My latest project is a clutch bag. I have not planned ahead too far as I tend to 'wing it' on the first attempt. Some thought has gone into it however so I am not totally blind in the process. Here are some pics for you...The bag shape and size have been decided on and I have glued and stitched/bezelled down the cabs for the front and the Shibori ribbon is stitched in place. I did have a design for the back of the bag but was not happy with it so that has been 'frogged' for now.

Caroline, this is gorgeous. You did the work on the cab? At first glance it appeared that the ribbon was many pieces but I can see it's wide. (Found Shibori on Pinterest; wow!)

Yes the cab was a Sea Sediment Jasper from my local bead shop. It has a hole in it where I threaded through the metallic thread and I glued the leaves on top and used a seed bead to hold them securely.) All the cabs are glued down first and the bezelled to keep them in place.

It's looking fabulous, Caroline! One cool thing is that this is the type of project you can come and go with, depending on your mood and time frame.
What's the "lurgy"? Whatever it is, I hope you feel better soon.

Ha Ha the lurgy in my case has been a wicked sore throat and virus that has had me laid up for almost a week now. x
