I'm so excited that it's Christmas and on the top of my list is something to hammer wire on. Sadly, I have Bern on a very tight budget. As in non-existent! But Santa doesn't have that problem. I've learned to be wildly creative with tools and all things related to jewelry. Like homemade wooden nail jigs that I've never found useful, embedding a screw into a board to make earrings, and wrapping the jaws of pliers with medical tape instead of buying nylon or tool magic. It's definitely expanded my mind. However, I can't live much longer without a steel block or anvil as there really isn't any substitute. I've actually been using the side of a very heavy sledge hammer type thing. It's uneven and I have to sit on the floor with the handle between my feet to stabilize it!! I can't believe I'm admitting this. Wow. So, I'd love to know which one you guys recommend as it is a monumental issue, or if you know of anything better. I so love wire and really want my work to look more professional. Luckily my hubby is an A/C tech so I have an unlimited supply of copper wire to work with. So I am blessed!!
