Thank you, Michelle and Brad! You should get mentally ready for a few real flops, though .... but I'm not gonna say when.

Enjoy! I'd like a bit of scent, but with Gundel's allergies I don't dare.

Something you may not have expected. Have you ever heard of Chrismukkah? If so, did you know when its story began? Happy Hanukkah, Irith! The seventh door

Nice star. We have celebrated Thanksgivingkkah, those rare years when the two days coincide. The man Marilyn knew as her grandfather was Jewish from NYC via Saarland. Her grandmother also from NVC via Saarland was Roman Catholic. Marilyn had a great mixed cultural and religious upbringing. I am thinking of doing a Jewish star in silver. Brad

You should try that, Brad. A classic for the eighth door (after my own pattern)

Cat, thank you so much for your Hanukkah blessings! My favorite holiday.
I love all your doors, but naturally this one touches me most!
I saw this Star of David on FB and was stunned by its beauty! I shared your post and commented on your blog. Interesting to learn from you about the Chrismukkah. In Haifa we celebrate Christianity, Judaism and Islamic holidays together every December, and usually there is a handmade and vintage market at the Israeli-Arab museum "Beit Hagefen" every year.

Brad Very interesting to read about your wife Marilyn's grandfather Brad. I didn't know people celebrated Thanksgivingkkah too The two celebrations coincide once in 4 years. Pleasant surprise, as I like both celebrations. Years ago I made a Silver Star of David for a lady who ordered it together with a Silver Cross.

I hope all of my Jewish friends will appreciate it. I made sure to ask my friend beforehand if she thought it was okay to share. I had made it months ago and have to admit that I wondered how it would be taken coming from me in the current situation, so I'm glad no one has taken offense so far. As I also said in my reply to your blog comment, I used a tutorial this time. I knew the technique, but didn't have the idea to twist the single components to make it work.

Cat, you'll have to forgive me for not keeping up with your Advent calendar. I had the best of intentions, but this illness I've come down with has left me with little interest in much of anything, although today I feel like I might re-join the world soon. Just let me say that everything you've shown us so far is absolutely beautiful. You've really put a lot of thought, time and work into all of these fantastic creations. Dawn

Dawn, I know you are sick and I know how it is to be sick. No worries at all, please.
