This week's Oldies but Goodies Theme Challenge is COBALT BLUE. The challenge is to post something that depicts something that has the color of COBALT BLUE in it.
Go through your stash and post a picture in this thread, that pertains to the theme. It can be something you made yesterday or something you made 5 years ago. We encourage you to post as many items as you want. Can't make it much simpler.
We hope to see lots of creative pics of your COBALT BLUE inspired creations.
At the end of the challenge Cat will make a collage from the entries (at least one picture from each member) and post it on her blog to share what a talented crowd this is! She will link back to your shop, blog or other pages from your signature. If you don't want your piece/s to be included, please note that in your post.
We'd love to have more members participate in this easy, fun challenge. Won't you join us?
I don't remember if I showed the earrings before, but there may have been other pieces with those beads before a loooong time ago. It must have been one of those sets from ten years ago. The feathers used to be paired with a different pair of lampies, but I think these work so much better. I always loved that color and pattern which is probably why I had a hard time using them at all.
Hey all, I haven't shared stuff in a while, I know. I thought of Lapis when I saw "COBALT BLUE" which I've been working with recently and is my favorite stone for now. Or maybe one of my favorite stones...I have many.
One of my guy friends wanted a set so I gave them the bracelets in the first picture that I made a while back since I had a few sets of them left.
This 2nd picture is a collection I did recently. Just before Christmas...I think...I can't remember. My favorite piece is the elephant charm bracelet so I kept it for myself. (lol) I sold the rest though and am in the process of making more in a similar style. I also did a silver version which was fun.
Cat and Irith you both have amazing pieces. I think my favorite from Irith would be the last pair. I really like the organic shape and the matte gold which makes the blue stand out. And my favorite from Cat is the 2nd pair...reminds me of a burst of cosmic energy for some reason. Maybe it's the pattern and/or sparkles.
