Thanks to a suggestion from Cat, this week's Oldies but Goodies Theme Challenge is REGAL The challenge is to post something that depicts something you would consider REGAL.
Go through your stash and post a picture in this thread, that pertains to the theme. It can be something you made yesterday or something you made 5 years ago. We encourage you to post as many items as you want. Can't make it much simpler.
We hope to see lots of creative pics of your REGAL inspired creations.
At the end of the challenge Cat will make a collage from the entries (at least one picture from each member) and post it on her blog to share what a talented crowd this is! She will link back to your shop, blog or other pages from your signature. If you don't want your piece/s to be included, please note that in your post.
We'd love to have more members participate in this easy, fun challenge. Won't you join us?
I had only one set that I consider “regal.” I made it with the intent to sell it to the boutique owner when I was making sets for her. (Sadly, she became ill and had to close her shop.) I love it, but it’s unlikely to be anything I will ever wear.
I thought I had replied to this thread earlier in the week, but it appears that I did not.
Cat, Irith and Michele, those are all beautiful pieces that any royal would be happy to wear to a ball or a more casual event like lunch. I agree with Cat about wearing diamonds with jeans; that's a look I like - super casual dressed up with really nice accessories.
Michelle, your necklace is definitely regal. If I hadn't known it was made by you I'd think it is from a high fashion designer! Dawn, I always like the lightness of your jewelry, I would love to wear the lowest pendant necklace if I were a princess...but as I'm not, I'd be happy to wear it anyway! Michele, the two necklaces are bold, elegant and regal!
