Once I've started making kitty rings, it was hard to stop trying out more color combinations. Maybe I should make some for the cat rescue in New Zealand if I can decide on a size. That's why I love making pendants, you are not restricted to a size.

Awww, those are beyond cute. Could you use elastic thread so the size would be a little more adjustable. Since I know nothing about bead weaving, not even sure that's possible.

I love those, Cat. They are just adorable and I think they'd be an awesome fund raising item for any cat rescue to sell. Have you thought about making other types of animal rings? I'm thinking dogs, birds, rabbits - the possibilities are endless. Dawn

Thank you so much, ladies! Michele, I don't think elastic thread is going to work so well with these small beads and it might distort the eyes. The peyote itself stretches a little, but not as much as if the rings were less wide of course. I also have a bit of a strained relationship with elastic threads. They drove me nuts when I was knitting with them in the old days! They can be worn on different fingers, though, so I'm going to make a variety, and maybe the cat rescue will be able to tell me if they go at all and if they do, what sizes are best. I'm going to try them out in my own sales group first as MTO, maybe that will give me a clue as well if people are interested. Dawn, I have thought about making others, but will check out the chances of these first. With these five I didn't do much wrong because I can wear them myself or give them away.

Thank you, Michelle and Irith! I hadn't really planned on making any to sell because I didn't think I would even want to make more than one, but I guess the crazy cat lady inside had different plans!

Purrfect for cat lovers! The one on the middle finger actually looks like an owl. I've been making rings and sizing them is not easy. My right hand fingers are larger than the left and all swell up a bit in the summer. I've almost lost a regular ring in the winter because my fingers get much smaller in size. Would you mind if I try a kitty ring myself?

Thank you, Sue! It's funny you should say that about the owl because others - and I - have seen it, too. I have no idea why, though. The eyes are the same as one of the other rings and not much different from the others (one bead for each eye). Is it the color maybe? I also had people mention the How To Train Your Dragon's Night and Light Fury, but as I don't make copyrighted things except for myself or as a gift, that was neither the plan nor my inspiration.
Do you want the pattern or do your own thing, Sue? If you want it, just send me a message with your email.
