the transparent skeleton leaves on the right and left are actual leaves with resin on them but the rest is clay.

I love those leaves! so colorful! Did you have fun on your polymer clay adventure? I was thinking of trying pmc metal clay at some point...but I just took up learning to etch metal.

I really enjoy working with polymer clay too. I have taken several classes, but haven't done anything of my own yet.

Beautiful pieces, Diane! As mentioned before I gave up on polymer clay a long time ago, mostly due to cat hair. I always had to lock Ponder out and he'd sit in front of the door complaining loudly which didn't help with my concentration. Actually he's chatting away this moment and I'm clueless what exactly he wants Sometimes I made a little something, like the raven for my Poe portrait pendant, but that's it.

I am still going hard at this. I have been very ill for several days so just sitting here like a lump binging on polymer clay tutorials. My pasta machine arrived yesterday and some metal and translucent clay should arrive today. I used some old junk clay (the stuff I bought ages ago to try it and never did much with it) and I tried making a few texture stamps. I will bake them today and see if they work. it is quite interesting so far. I want to try mica shifts!

Sorry to hear that you've been ill. I wish you the best and hope you feel better! Glad you are keeping at it, and I can't wait to see more. Your projects sound intriguing. I had to 'google' mica shifts, but thanks to Fire Mountain Gem's Jewelry studio and PolymerClayTutor (both on youtube)...I now know what it is and find it exciting! I launched my shop and social media and stuff and that has been keeping me busy and away from my studio and actually making/trying things. I also realized...I clearly need more table space before trying anything with clay and getting any more tools.

I hope you are on the mend, Diane! The polymer clay is calling to me........ Like Togan, I think I need more space. We shall see how long I resist. Ha!

Thank you all for your well wishes. I have been in the hospital and just got home yesterday. Still quite the mess but hoping to mend. watched a few more tutorials today but really not feeling it too much. This is the piece I was working on before I left. i am not satisfied with it yet but i like the method. I am learning so much! The tree is painted on resin and I haven't mounted it on the leaf yet. I am thinking I need to do a different leaf with dark veins and rainbow cells. Attachments:

I'm so sorry to hear you had to go to hospital after all. Fingers crossed for a quick recovery!
I love that little tree with the dots and can't wait to see the final composition.

Diane, I'm sorry to hear you had to be hospitalized! Hopefully, you're well on the mend.
Love your tree and leaf! So pretty!
I don't need any more craft hobbies. I got into metal clay and bought all the stuff, including a kiln. It all sits, waiting for me to do something with it. But then, I haven't made any jewelry or anything for a long while. I'm a dud!
