I store some of my findings in the plastic storage boxes with the drawers, others in those boxes that is used for nails, screws, etc. That's the height of organization I can tolerate.
I use those spice tins as well, but only for seed beads during a project.

Love all the storage ideas. My office/studio is a converted spare bedroom that has a walk in closet that is about 12'x4'. It has shelves which make it perfect for storage. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedThese are what I store beads, findings, charms, etc. These are plastic shoe boxes that I keep different chain, finished earrings, bracelets, and chain necklaces in. They are stored in individual plastic bags and categorized. Example: all dragonfly earrings are in individual bags inside a larger bag marked dragonfly earrings. I do the same with necklaces. Small rose jewelry is in a shoe box sorted by color and type - pink rosebuds, red roses, etc. Large rose necklaces are kept on material I had cut by a sign company and stored in gallon size bags. I won't show you the floor of the closet.

Cat, I have way too much stuff. The sad thing is, that's not all of it.

I don't know Togan, I have a lot of stuff that hasn't seen the light of day in years. It's time to purge.

Very well organized, Michele! I’m inclined to agree with Togan - I’m not sure there is such a thing as too many beads.

I am writing a review on this case, but wanted to share it with you guys here. When we got Toffee earlier this year....she was wild. I could not have her in the studio at all. I wanted to be able to bead while still being around her downstairs and working on her training regimen. So I was obsessed with finding the perfect "mobile" storage solution since I had never had it. I had tried the typical travel cases and what not..but they just...didn't work for me. So I decided to try random stuff. I bought a make-up travel case. Thinking..."hah...that is sooo getting returned". It turned out to be the best thing ever for having a portable studio. I got a bead smith 11" bead board/tray to go along with it. So if there's no table, no problem. The foam dividers are movable so you can configure it in different ways. I made enough room for small bead boxes (stacked 2 high). So far it has worked out great for my needs and I'm excited to travel with it when I go to Houston in October. I may have to empty it out a bit since I'm going to a bead show there.

Very cool case! Yep, when you go to Houston, you need to leave room for the beads you’ll bring back. 😄

I keep my pieces in plastic bags, like Gayle and Dawn. Then I have a few large wooden boxes which I found in second hand and vintage markets, and place the nylon bags in them. My stones are kept in small used glass or plastic containers of cosmetic creams I used. (I love collecting these containers, many of them are beautifully designed). I write the names on the lids. As for stuff I use for my jewelry such as findings, hooks, metal beads etc.- they are kept in storage plastic boxes, which are all in an old wooden drawer cabinet in my workshop.
Michele - your first and second photographs with your vast collection in stunning!...and I thought that I was the one who has over done it!
