Now that we have a few new members, are you interested in resurrecting the Oldies Challenge? For the new members, we had a different challenge every week. This is an example of one of the challenges.
This week's Oldies but Goodies Theme Challenge is DANGLES. The challenge is to post something that incorporates a DANGLE.
Go through your stash and post a picture in this thread, that pertains to the theme. It can be something you made yesterday or something you made 5 years ago. We encourage you to post as many items as you want. Can't make it much simpler.
We hope to see lots of creative pics of your DANGLE inspired creations.
At the end of the challenge Cat will make a collage from the entries (at least one picture from each member) and post it on her blog to share what a talented crowd this is! She will link back to your shop, blog or other pages from your signature. If you don't want your piece/s to be included, please note that in your post.
We'd love to have more members participate in this easy, fun challenge. Won't you join us?
Last week I handcrafted this pair of earrings in Sterling Silver and Pink Tourmaline Quartz cabochons. A day or two later someone ordered them with gold plate to match a ring they have. My preference is these Sterling ones.
Whenever we travel, I keep my eye out for bead shops. I found a cute little shop in Austin when we were there for the motorcycles races. I bought the blue and yellow focal beads there. So fun and unusual. The wires are sterling silver. The leaves are pewter - a metal I’m developing a fondness for as it is tarnish resistant.
Glad to see this back, Michele! It will be fun to have some new people join us - welcome aboard togan and michelle and also to anyone who is out there lucking and would like to participate. C'mon in, the water is fine!
Dawn - such variety in your earrings! I can’t pick a favorite. They are all lovely. Caroline - all of your dangles are beautiful, but the necklace especially so. Cat - your wire-weaving is spectacular. And thank you! Riorita - thanks for your kind words.
Hey all, Sorry I'm late to the party. The first is a pair of earrings I made for myself a few months ago. The second photo is a necklace I was playing around with a few years ago. I only had a few beads so I had to make the necklace really small. At the time I didn't think I could just add an extender! So I wore it this year finally. I really enjoyed using these flower beads (lucite I think). I loved how they looked at as a bouquet. It definitely wasn't a color combination I used much so I guess at the time it was its own little design challenge.
