This week's Oldies but Goodies Theme Challenge is LAPIS. The challenge is to post something that depicts LAPIS. If you don’t have lapis, DARK BLUE will work
Go through your stash and post a picture in this thread, that pertains to the theme. It can be something you made yesterday or something you made 5 years ago. We encourage you to post as many items as you want. Can't make it much simpler.
We hope to see lots of creative pics of your LAPIS inspired creations.
At the end of the challenge Cat will make a collage from the entries (at least one picture from each member) and post it on her blog to share what a talented crowd this is! She will link back to your shop, blog or other pages from your signature. If you don't want your piece/s to be included, please note that in your post.
We'd love to have more members participate in this easy, fun challenge. Won't you join us?
I have this one with lapis in a lighter blue around the lampwork and inside the knit rope.
The two lapis beads at the bottom of the Bastet pendant were from my first fleamarket after I started making jewelry. I got a whole bowl of chips and glass and beads for very little money because they were his leftovers, and three lapis beads were the most beautiful of the mix.
The big blue beads in this one are dumortierite which I heard of first when I got a strand in a bead store in Cambridge. I think it's a beautiful color.
And right back into the swing you came, too! Beautiful. That reminds me I always wanted to try that herringbone weave.
I'm locking this thread now because I already prepared the collage, and I don't think anyone else would have jumped in in the last moment, either. It's nice getting done a bit earlier for a change, I am such a procrastinator!
