For the past year I have taught myself the in's and out's of electroforming. It was tough starting out as there was no information online about applying electroplating/electroforming to jewelry design. So I have to interpret science articles, articles about plating car parts....etc.
Now I'm enjoying a part time income, creating and selling my electroformed jewelry. Its crazy to think you can start off knowing absolutely nothing, teach yourself something, and turn it into a business.
Im curious to hear if anyone else here electroforms copper? (my website to my jewels is listed in my signature if you wish to see more)
I'm here to admit I know almost nothing about electroforming except for what little I've read about it here and there. I love the work you are doing and would enjoy learning more about your process with the understanding that there are probably techniques you have discovered that you would prefer to keep to yourself. Like most of us here, you have self taught yourself and I respect that you have discovered techniques along the way that did not come easily.
