I like to use argentium as I prefer the smooth 'ball-up' to the piting that you can get with sterling. But last night I made a few that were smooth and normal, and then a couple that would not ball up for what seemed like ages and when they did, they were 'crusty' annd not even slightly smooth. Ack... Any idea why? It was especially annoying because when my customer came to pick up the pendants she commissioned, she brought a couple of my beads she already had on and asked me to make them into pendants. I could only do one as the other available headpins were cruddy.

Argentium from different vendors? Not all argentium is equal, from my experience. I only buy it from Rio Grande, anymore.
