Carina, the only reason I know about the adjust size tool in preview, is I google searched how to make pictures smaller in photos. It was one of the options.

"You can open it in iPhoto, but any changes such as editing or adding new photos will not appear in the Photos app." This is what I get when I double click on iPhoto. Thanks, Carina, for any help you can give me. Like Michele, I hate the new Photos application. Gayle, this simply means that when you use iPhoto to edit photos that they are not loaded into photos. Now when you don't use photos, but iPhoto instead then there is no problem. IPhoto should still work. Just holler when you need more help.

I'd like to know how you two were able to keep iphoto. Mine disappeared after I upgraded to yosemite.

It's in applications, Michele. Click on Finder and then applications. It should be in there.

It's in application, but won't open. When I try to open it, it says it's incompatible with the current version of yosemite installed on my computer.

It's in application, but won't open. When I try to open it, it says it's incompatible with the current version of yosemite installed on my computer. When you have had an update for your mac try it again. I have 10.10.5 and it works fine. Very strange.
