Let me first state I don't entirely understand this process. The author is using the professional version of Photoshop and I have the Elements version. But I know that many of you water mark your photos. This comes from Light Stalking. Hoping to at least get the link here: Water markingWell, Windows 8.1 shoots down another one. Clicking on the link brings up a blank page on Light Stalking. So, you'll have to check it out. I'm off to bang my head against the wall. Again.

Thanks - I've wondered how to do that.

I use pixelmator (for MAC).
In there I have made a template of my watermark on a transparent layer that I copy and paste on my photo's. After pasting I make the image a bit lighter, and then safe the photo.
I keep a copy of the template for future use, because my photo's are always 800 by 800 pixels I can use it over and over again.
I'm sure that would work for Photoshop, Gymp or any other photo program too.

Carina, after reading your comment and went back to check Light Stalking. Yes, this can be saved as a pre-set brush for future pics in PhotoShop. (Had to go down almost to the bottom to find this out. Not sure if it can be done in PS Elements though. Brain has been in a fog for the last month or so because am painting front small deck again.)

Glad that I could be of some use! Hope the painting is done by now and that your head is clear again.

I do a text layer and lower the opacity so it's just about visible. Mainly for my photography., but I do occasionally use it on my craft photos.

Silkibam, I think I can do that!! I am always adding text to my grave headstone pics (hobby) and it helps to keep track of which cemetery the stone is in. Will try it when I load some pics to PSE soon. Finally got the white railing finished! Needed to sand down back to bare wood but things have been so wet sanding damages it. The deck floor is relatively simple. Flat and the paint is really peeling. Don't need as much chocolate, though.
