Well, I promised the prop I needed to use for the Blue Button bracelet. The problem was that since the leaves turn when not on your wrist it was impossible to get them flat if I just closed the button and tried to shape the bracelet. And the button was so large, well, I had problems. What to use? Here's what the pic looked before cropping and editing: I took some white paper and taped it around a medicine bottle and taped the bracelet in back so it wouldn't slip down. A little cropping and editing and voila!

What a great idea! There are all kinds of things we can use as props. Sometimes we just have to look at items with new eyes. When you asked us to guess in the S&T section, I thought you might have used a nearly empty roll of paper towels. Thought about using my rolling pin for bracelets once, but it's too big around. Dawn

I thought it was a roll of paper towels with extra paper around. Very clever prop!

Hmm, have thought of using a rolling pin on my ex but why hurt a perfectly good rolling pin?

Hmm, have thought of using a rolling pin on my ex but why hurt a perfectly good rolling pin? I think a baseball bat might work better. The medicine bottle is an ingenious idea. I have an arm I use for bracelets. There is a mannequin place in Houston that sells new and used display stuff. They have all kinds of mannequin body parts. I bought an old arm for almost nothing.

That's a great idea....
I have been eyeballing some clear plastic tubes where our roll-up curtains came in. They have the perfect size for bracelets. ;D

Carina, you just gave me an idea to look for some clear tubes at a hobby store near here. Or even just taping some clear hard plastic together to make custom sized tubes.

I remembered we talked about those plastic tubes, well I cut a piece off and tried it for a bracelet. This is how it looks. Bonus is that you can see the back of it too. ;D

Carina, that's a genius idea!! Being able to see both front and back is like being able to physically handle the bracelet. You get to see so much more detail. Personally, I think this is another example of how a good community works, everyone bouncing ideas off each other and coming up with something good. (Now I have an image of everyone throwing plastic tubes at each other. But the good thing is that the tubes bounce...) Honestly, this is a great idea.

Thank you, btw I have 6 or 7 1,5 meter tubes here to trow then. We just bought roll-up curtains for the music studio we build to the house last year.
