I have some cheap curved chain nose pliers for use with chain male. I use two pair to do the work. What are the best ones for this? What do you use? And, do you use plastic tipped pliers?

I don't do chain male, but I do wrap the tips of my pliers in black electrician's tape to keep from dinging up wire. Dawn

I sometimes use two pairs of pliers for chain maille (mail) but normally I use the slotted ring and one set of pliers. Much faster and easier than trying to control 2 pairs of pliers.

Thanks Gail! I got one of those slotted rings and it really makes a big difference. It is much faster to work with. I also bought a jeweler's awl, and that helps a lot too!
